Employee of the Month: Michelle Nelson

Michelle's passion to serve led her to Marion County 38 years ago as an Eligibility Specialist with the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services (HRS) now Department of Children and Families and she continue to serve our residents as Property Manager of our Public Housing and Open Market properties.

Michelle says that she relies on her faith to navigate through the challenging times. Michelle cherishes her two daughters and thinks the world of her grandchildren. She has been a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., since 1987, and loves her Alma Mater, Bethune-Cookman College, now Bethune-Cookman University. She enjoys working out and line dancing. 

Michelle would like to thank OHA for the Employee of the Month recognition, and it would not have been possible without her dedicated, hardworking Public Housing team that she has the pleasure of working with daily.
