Ms. Latoria Francis, Board Chair
Ms. LaToria Francis has a Master's Degree in Psychology. She is an educator within the Marion County Public School System. Ms. Francis has hopes of starting a mentoring program for the youth.
Mr. Reginald E. Landers, Jr., Vice-Chairman
Mr. Landers is an educator in the Marion County Public School System. He has lived in the Ocala area for many years and is a member of several community organizations. Mr. Landers brings a unique perspective and fresh energy to the board.

Narvella Haynes, Treasurer - Community Advocate & Youth Mentor
Ms. Narvella Haynes is a respected community activist whose influence in Ocala spans decades. She is best known for her dedicated work mentoring students through the former Black Achievers/Youth Achievers Program, where she helped shape the future of countless young people by encouraging excellence, confidence, and purpose.
Ms. Haynes has long been recognized as a woman who speaks up boldly and consistently for what is right - not only for the community at large, but for individuals who need a strong voice standing beside them. Her advocacy is rooted in compassion, fairness, and an unwavering commitment to making Ocala a better place for all.

Reverend Dr. Tanya M. Hanks, Commissioner
Rev. Hanks currently serves as the pastor of the Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Ocala, FL. She says that her experience as a pastor allows her to understand the issues, needs, and assessments of the community. Currently pursuing a doctorate degree, she desires to continue to add to her knowledge to better serve and meet the needs of the community.

Reverend Howard L. Gunn, Jr., Commissioner
Rev. Gunn is a retired educator/dean with a passion for farming and agriculture. He has resided in Marion County for over 28 years and is currently the pastor of the Clearwater Missionary Baptist Church, Ocklawaha, FL. Rev. Gunn has been on the OHA Board of Commissioners since 1994, and he strives to help OHA achieve its mission by shaping policies and procedures to achieve the greatest impact for its employees and clients served.

Dr. Gwendolyn B. Dawson (by Florida Statute), Secretary/CEO
Dr. Gwendolyn B. Dawson is a visionary leader with more than 40 years of experience in affordable housing, community development, and accounting. She has served as CEO of the Ocala Housing Authority for 27 years, leading the agency's growth from an $7 million organization to a $18 million organization while expanding innovative housing, homeownership, and economic empowerment opportunities for the residents of Ocala and Marion County. Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Dawson has successfully developed transformative affordable housing communities, secured and managed millions of dollars in federal, state, and local funding, and championed initiatives that strengthen families and neighborhoods. A graduate of the University of Florida with a B. S. degree in Accounting and an MBA, she also holds a doctorate degree. Dr. Dawson is a FL licensed real estate and mortgage broker, an active community servant, and serves on numerous nonprofit and civic boards. Guided by a passion for service, integrity, and community impact, she remains committed to building stronger communities while balancing a fulfilling life with her family.
