Homeownership and Rental Opportunities
Owning Your Own Home
The Ocala Housing Authority (OHA) is committed to proving safe, decent, sanitary and affordable housing to the residents of Ocala/Marion County.
Recognizing the need for homeownership opportunities, the OHA expanded its programs through the introduction of new homeownership initiatives in 1999.
Homebuyers Club
One of the biggest obstacles to owning a home is the lack of knowledge. The OHA Homebuyers Club is designed to empower homebuyers with knowledge of all aspects of purchasing and maintaining a home.
Our topics include: credit repair, budgeting, mortgage search, home inspections, roles of a realtor, and knowing your rights. Topics are addressed in monthly classes held at the OHA main office and through one-on-one counseling sessions. OHA is committed to anyone who is interested in becoming a homeowner and have connected with community partners who are very knowledgeable, experienced, and skilled in providing education to our club members.
