Dr. Tanya M. Hanks, Chairperson
Rev. Hanks currently serves as the pastor of the Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Ocala, FL. She says that her experience as a pastor allows her to understand the issues, needs, and assessments of the community. Currently pursuing a doctorate degree, she desires to continue to add to her knowledge to better serve and meet the needs of the community.
Mr. Reginald E. Landers, Jr., Vice-Chairman
Mr. Landers is an educator in the Marion County Public School System. He has lived in the Ocala area for many years, is a member of several community organizations. Mr. Landers brings a unique perspective and fresh energy to the board.
Dr. Gwendolyn B. Dawson (by Florida Statue), Secretory/CEO
Dr. Marcia Roberson-Fields, Treasurer
Dr. Fields is a retired educator/principal who also owns a cleaning service (First Impressions Cleaning Service). She has been in Marion County for over 49 years, and pastors the Church of God of Deliverer USA in Orange Lake, FL. She enjoys inspiring others to lead purpose-driven lives, and she embraces OHA’s mission to promote self-sustainability, self-accountability, residents’ ownership of their neighborhood, as wells as educational and leadership opportunities.
Ms. Latoria Francis, Resident-Commissioner
Ms. Latoria Francis is a student pursuing her B.A. in Elementary Education. She has been a resident of Marion County for five years. Ms. Francis has hopes of starting a mentoring program in her community for the youth.
Rev. Howard L. Gunn, Jr., Commissioner
Rev. Gunn is a retired educator/dean with a passion for farming and agriculture. He has resided in Marion County for over 28 years, and is currently the pastor of the Eastlake Baptist Church in Oklawaha, FL. Rev. Gunn has been on the OHA Board of Commissioners since the 1990’s, and he strives to help OHA achieve its mission by shaping policies and procedures to achieve the greatest impact for its employees and clients served.
